Marketing Activities

WYRF is more than just a two-day event. Our marketing and promotional campaign starts six-months prior to the event and utilises a variety of different mediums to communicate our message to all senior decision-makers in the international sports event management industry.

As a conference partner, sponsor or exhibitor you will directly benefit from a targeted marketing, promotion and media campaign which includes the following mediums:

  • Industry Associations
    WYRF will work closely with a number of event industry associations and governing bodies to ensure their members attend the event. Discounts to attend will be offered to association members. Various marketing and promotional activities to these associations will ensure industry wide exposure and awareness

  • Industry Print Media
    An extensive print media advertising and marketing campaign prior to the conference will be undertaken focusing on targeted sailing, yacht racing and sports business publications.

  • Direct Mail Conference Literature
    All relevant yachting industry and other sports business professionals will be mailed up-to-date conference information including speakers, topics for discussions, partners, sponsors and media partners. All WYRF printed literature will carry sponsor logos in a prominent position. We target over 10,000 names from the extensive Informa Yacht Group database.

  • Website and Online
    The WYRF website is one of the primary mediums through which the conference is promoted. The website keeps participants and prospects up to date with partner, sponsors, exhibitors and conference information. All marketing material directs people to the event web site. Links from our partners and selected media partners will ensure the website is the primary source of up-to-date conference information.

  • E-mail Broadcasts
    WYRF will be promoted to an extensive database of industry professionals, owned by the Informa Yacht Group, through an extensive programme of e-bulletins and e-updates. This database is continually kept updated and added to through an intensive programme of research and development.

  • Telemarketing
    The Informa Yacht Group has a dedicated team of industry-specific, trained telemarketers that will personally call senior industry decision-makers, influencers and professionals to ensure their attendance.

  • Public Relations
    WYRF press releases and information are disseminated on a regular basis to the international yachting media. Partners are mentioned in all releases.

  • Wish List
    Partners, sponsors and exhibitors may provide wish lists of key clients and prospects. Our in-house telemarketing team will personally invite these companies to ensure their attendance at the event.
